Why Train in St Mellons?

Our St Mellons class has a strong mix of beginners, families and experienced students, including a large number of black belts.

Training alongside students at different stages of their Taekwondo journey creates a positive environment where newer students can build confidence while more experienced students continue to develop their skills.

Students can work towards their own goals, whether that means improving fitness, developing confidence, progressing through the grades or working towards black belt.

From First Competition to the Medal Podium

Competition is an optional part of Taekwondo, but for students who want the challenge, St Mellons has a strong history of competition success.

Students are supported as they build confidence, gain experience and develop the skills needed to compete at their best.

Taking the First Step

For many students, entering their first competition is an achievement in itself — building confidence and putting their training into practice.

Building Experience

With each competition, students develop their technique, confidence and ability to perform under pressure, progressing from completing their first rounds to achieving their first medals.

Achieving Success

With dedication and consistent training, students can go on to win multiple medals and compete for gold.

Our students have won medals at competitions across a range of ages, grades and events, contributing to more than 200 competition medals achieved by Reaction Martial Arts students since 2020.

Competition is never compulsory. Whether a student wants to compete, grade, improve their fitness or simply enjoy Taekwondo, we support them in achieving their own goals.
